Executive Secretary Paquito N. Ochoa Jr. said in a statement that the suspension of classes was based on the recommendation of the National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC), as heavy rain is seen to prevail until afternoon Friday.

Region 4-A (Calabarzon)
9. Rizal
10. Cavite

12. Laguna
13. Quezon, including Polillo Island,
Region 4-B
14. Mindoro Provinces
15. Marinduque
Region 5 (Bicol)
16. Camarines Norte
Region 1
2. Pangasinan
Region 3 (Central Luzon)

In an updated report aired on "Unang Hirit," Ochoa was also quoted as saying that all classes in Benguet, La Union and Isabela have been suspended.
